The Pitot Heating System contains two circuits. Each circuit operates one pitot heater. Heating units are simulated using an indicator light to represent the pitot tube heating unit. The pitot heating circuits uses a relay coil in series with the heating unit. It also features a warning light operated by the relay and a lamp test circuit. The student will operate the circuits in the normal operation mode using the description of the normal circuit operation. After gaining a complete understating of the operation of the normal circuit, the students will in-put each of the ten faults and troubleshoot the circuit using a voltmeter. Circuit faults contain opens and shorts.
